Salinas Christian Counseling is a ministry of Valley Baptist Church and is located on the North side, directly across the street from North Salinas High School. Our goal is to help, comfort, and encourage people using sound principles from God’s Word. We specialize in Christian marriage and family counseling, grief counseling, and anxiety counseling, and can also help with other issues you might be facing. Chase A. Thompson is the pastor of Valley Baptist and the lead counselor at Salinas Christian Counseling. His specialty is pastoral and biblical counseling, and he has over two decades of experience as a pastoral and biblical counselor.

Chase and his wife Janet have five children. He graduated from Samford in 1994 with degrees in History and Philosophy. Following that, He earned an M.Div and another Master’s degree, splitting time between Beeson Divinity School, Liberty Theological Seminary, and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree in pastoral counseling and expects to finish by the end of 2023. He has been in pastoral ministry for over 25 years.
